SIRIUS 1 (Retired)

SIRIUS 1 was originally commissioned by the British company BSB and was called Marco Polo 1. SIRIUS 1 was acquired by NSAB in late 1993.

It was a Hughes HS 376 type, spin-stabilized satellite with 5 transponders for Direct-To-Home (DTH) services offering Nordic coverage.

In year 2000 SIRIUS 1 was moved to orbital position 13° West and renamed SIRIUS W.
