People in six Ukrainian cities to enjoy Paul McCartney concert thanks to SIRIUS 4 broadcast

On 14 June 2008, legendary Beatle Paul McCartney will perform a single concert at Maidan Square in Kiev. SES SIRIUS satellite technology will allow people not only in Kiev but in the five other largest Ukrainian cities to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime event. A live interactive broadcast via the SIRIUS 4 satellite will bring the concert to fans in Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk and Odesa.
The interactive broadcast will be shown on central squares of all these cities with the help of SNG vans, large screens and uplink stations. To really convey a sense of presence and intimacy, 20 cameras will be filming the concert in Kiev.
Paul McCartney fans in Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk and Odesa will be able to enjoy their favourite songs live, and have a chance to share their feelings with people in Kiev via the live broadcast. The interactive part of the broadcast will start at 8:30 p.m. and will continue for an hour until the concert starts at 9:30. The live concert will be seen not only by those gathered on the big squares, but also by a television audience - making good on the organisers' promise that the concert will bring the whole country together. This unique interactive event wouldn't have been possible without SIRIUS 4.
