Bengt Lindholm, General Manager of SES SIRIUS in Kyiv commented on the agreement: "We are very happy to have both Ukraina TV-channel and Football TV-channel on our satellite. We believe this will be a good stimulus for the enlargement of the satellite user audience in Ukraine, considering that football is the largest sport here. This year, Shakhtar won the UEFA cup and Ukraine has strong football teams in the National league. I think the timing for the football channel is right since Ukraine will host the European Championship 2012 and interest in football is expected to grow."

Football TV-channel broadcasts the most interesting and spectacular football competitions. Among them are the matches of Ukrainian national team in the qualifying round of the World Cup 2010; all matches of the Ukrainian Under-21 national team; matches of the leading European national teams. It also broadcasts Ukrainian Premier League and National Cup matches; championships of France, Portugal, Netherlands, Scotland; cups of Italy, England and Netherlands.
The following channels are already onboard SIRIUS: Inter Plus, Novy Kanal, Ukraina TV-ñhannel, TET, 1+1 International, Rada and many other Ukrainian TV-channels.
Moreover, SES SIRIUS will continue the work aimed at increasing the number of specialized channels for the Ukrainian viewers.
